Lee County Community Band Presents:

A FESTIVAL OF MUSIC!

Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Mariner High School

The Lee County Community Band invites the community to enjoy an inspiring afternoon of music with its March 2026 concert, “A Festival of Music!” on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Mariner High School in Cape Coral. Admission is free, and all are welcome.

The program celebrates the rich traditions of band music with a lively mix of patriotic selections, classic marches, jazz and swing favorites, Broadway and film music, novelty features, and an audience sing-along.

The concert honors the band’s historic roots, tracing its heritage to the original Fort Myers Brass Band of the 1880s. Founded in 1885 as the Fort Myers Brass Band and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1982, the Lee County Community Band is one of the oldest continuously operating community bands in the United States. Its more than 60 volunteer musicians—amateur, semi-professional, and professional—share a passion for music and a commitment to community service.

Under the direction of Gil Peltola, the Lee County Community Band continues its mission of providing high-quality musical entertainment to the community at no cost.
